Policy Analysis of the Situation in Sudan

ABSTRACT:
This 12 page report discusses the Republic of Sudan in northeastern Africa, the largest country of the African continent, and its long-term civil war and the impact that has had on determining policy for the country.
After decades of war and constant genocide, it is difficult to imagine that there can be any positive policy-making taking place in Sudan. International relief and development efforts have failed because the government of Sudan re-directs the finances and the commodities to the state-run agency that has nothing to do with non-Muslim Sudanese. In such a circumstance as that as presented by Sudan, policy decisions are based on concerns for international security and the safety of American citizens, as well as humanitarian issues.Bibliography lists 10 sources.
